In the early Republican era, the Japanese Aoi family has been haunted by a curse for generations. To break the curse, Aoi comes to China in search of the legendary Luban’s Axe. Meanwhile, descendants of the “Dragon-Seeking Five Veins”—Xu Mochen, Chu Han, and Zhou Dasheng—learn of Aoi’s ambition and resolve to prevent him from entering the ancient underground tomb. Confronted by both supernatural guardians like the Four Ghosts of Lishan and violent enemies like Tiya and Hu Jiu, Xu Mochen and company devise a plan to follow Aoi into the tomb.
